Judge Gregg L. Pickett is at West Justice Center of the Orange County Superior Court. He sits on Felony Trials. Prior to his current position he was Supervising Judge of the North Justice Center and was with the Appellate Department.

Judge Pickett served as Deputy District Attorney for the County of Orange. He is author of numerous authoritative law treatises and books and is Adjunct Professor for Chapman University School of Law.

Bias and Assumption in Criminal Prosecution

Professor Slocum’s scholarly and teaching interests focus on lawyering skills and professionalism.  She is the author of two textbooks.  The materials that culminated in her first textbook, an “electronic” textbook, received the highest award from the publisher in a national competition for legal writing faculty. Her second textbook, Legal Reasoning, Writing, & Persuasive Argument (3d ed. 2011), has been adopted by numerous law schools nationwide.  Her research and publications are interdisciplinary in nature, exploring how lessons from neuroscience and psychology can help improve legal education and better prepare students to become effective lawyers.
